On October 8th more than 40 guests attended the first TNC Elevator Pitches and listened to 6 interesting and diverse pitches from different neuroscientific research areas.

Dr. Nils Kroemer from the University Clinic of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy kicked the evening off and was looking for like-minded people in Computational Psychiatry, Prof. Hansjürgen Volkmer from the NMI in Reutlingen showed strategies to identify genes for selective interneuron synapse stability, Dr. Natalia Pashkovskaia from the INDB (Institute of Neuroanatomy & Developmental Biology) pitched In vitro vascularization of retinal organoids, Dr. Julia Fitzgerald from the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research was wondering whether sex differences of hormones could be relevant for neurodegenerative diseases, Dr. Kevin Achberger from the INDB pitched 3D Retina-on-a-Chip and Prof. Marlies Knipper from the Tübingen Hearing Research Center asked if rapid auditory processing is a prerequisite for social learning.

A Get Together with food and drinks and a chance for networking rounded the evening off.

The next Elevator Pitch #2 will be on November 5th - registration for pitches is still possible.
