Getting here

  • By plane. The closest airport to Tuebingen is Stuttgart Airport (STR), around 30 kilometres (19 miles) away. From the airport, you can reach Tuebingen by taxi or car in 20 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus (line 828) running between Tuebingen and Stuttgart Airport; you can find its timetable here. You can also fly to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and reach Tuebingen by train via Stuttgart. 

  • By train. There are frequent connections between Stuttgart Central Station (Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof) and Tuebingen Central Station. From Stuttgart, it takes around 45-60 minutes to reach Tuebingen by train, depending on the speed of your connection.   • By bus. Tuebingen is connected to other cities in Germany and Europe by various long-distance bus lines. To search for connections, you can check Busradar.com.
